Women Farmer’s Network launch video
Know Your Cost To Grow
The Oʻahu Resource Conservation & Development Council came to us with a request to help them create a video documenting a training event for their Hawaii Women Farmers Network program. This event and cohort focused on integrating and implementing a software tool called Know Your Cost To Grow. This tool and framework provides multi-crop vegetable farmers with a step-by-step process for determining their crop-specific costs of production and a framework for using cost of production information for business planning and decision-making. It allows them to make informed decisions based on time studies and real data from their on the ground work. It was an inspiring group to be around and the consensus was that these women farmers found the tool and program enlightening. They were excited to continue to use the software as they work to provide a good living for themselves, their families, and our local communities in Hawaii.
