Bringing In $100K A Year Tattooing Hair In Hawai'i | On The Side

This was another remote position with the same CNBC production team based on the East Coast. It was a pleasure to collaborate with them once again, and they expressed their appreciation for our partnership. For the producer team, working remotely with video production teams enabled them to broaden the show's reach nationwide, highlighting a diverse range of topics and communities.

Ryan and Hannah Maruyama, aged 29 and 26, are small business owners based in Honolulu, Hawai'i, with a strong passion for helping individuals without college degrees secure rewarding careers. This passion led them to establish their own cosmetic tattoo business, specializing in hair restoration for individuals experiencing hair loss.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent business closures in 2020, the couple adapted by offering hair consultations and launching a YouTube channel. In addition to their work in the hair tattoo business, both Ryan and Hannah maintain traditional day jobs they enjoy while managing their business full-time.
